02 June 2018 until 21 July 2018
Roger Cecil (1942-2015) has been described as one of the great abstract artists of his generation, yet in his lifetime he was little known outside a circle of fellow painters. He turned his back on a Royal College of Art scholarship in the 1960s to return home to Abertillery to paint on his own and without influence. This exhibition will show his extraordinarily beautiful paintings alongside jewellery and 3d work which has never been exhibited.
The exhibition will be opened on Saturday 2nd June by Peter Wakelin.
